I've just released my second single from my first mash-up album Future Sound Booster. Following The Pussycat Dolls vs. Pakito comes Christina Aguilera's hit single Ain't No Other Man with Supermode's Tell Me Why. This is actually my cover version of the same mash-up by DJ Drop Bass named Tell Me Why There's No Other Man. Basically I took is idea and made my own version reworking the songs in a different way. So I guess this is calling covering... The video was quite easy to handle, and I think the final product looks just fine. There's more videos coming up, and you can look for new tracks from my album being leaked here.
Da1000 - Tell No Other Man (Christina Aguilera vs. Supermode)
Originally set to premiere on February 21st, Christina Aguilera's new video Candyman arrived to the public eye with a very posh entrance. There's nothing more hip than arriving late. Premiering on MTV's screaming teens' show TRL, Candyman rapidly found its way to the blogosphere with everyone totally loving it and claiming it's the best video ever... Well, after watching TRL's Sneak Peek of the video I thought so too, but now that the full video arrived, I must say I'm a bit disappointed. Though it's not bad at all, it's quite good actually, but still, it doesn't have much of that flow her previous Ain't No Other Man had. All I'm sayin' is... a few airplanes wouldn't go wrong... Now, the song is very good indeed... Somewhat of a follow up to Back To Basics' first single, Candyman pays off by being irresistibly catchy...
And the nominees list for the 2007 Grammy Awards just came out. I was really pleased with this year's nominees, though Nelly Furtado could have more than just one nomination ( Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for Promiscuous with Timbaland, which they'll probably lose to Mary J. Blige's One with U2). And I was also really pleased and surprised for The Pussycat Dolls' nomination for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for Stickwitu, they really deserve it. Other nominees include Justin Timberlake, Shakira, Madonna, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gnarls Barkley, Natasha Bedingfield, James Blunt, Corrine Bailey Rae and Mary J. Blige (with 8 nominations), among others...
Here's some of the 2006 Grammy Awards perfomaces :
