Back in 2001,
Kelis released her second album
Wanderland, which was produced by
The Neptunes, like her debut
Kaleidoscope was. If you remember
Kaleidoscope you must remember the sassy "
I hate you so much right now"... Now, do you remember 2001's
Wanderland? Probably not. That's because it's
Kelis' most unsuccessful album to date. It wasn't even released on the U.S. due to poor sales of first and only single
Young, Fresh n' New. The track failed to chart on Northern American ground, but made its way to a British number 32. The album didn't spawned any more singles, probably because the first single flopped, but also because the label and
Kelis herself disliked the album. Well, if you ask me why
Young, Fresh n' New flopped, I'd say it was probably because of lack of promotion. They just didn't cared much about it. The track is one of Pop's greatest moments (at least I think so) and the video was quite fresh and innovative, and, read and underline this, it featured
Heidi Klum! So... with all those ingredients, it should be more than a mere number 32 huh?
